Lancecape was born December 29th, 19** in Toronto, Ontario Canada and was raised on 70's classic rock by his father and 80's classic music by his mother. Currently, Lancecape is now evolving into one of the most sought after Hip Hop Producers of the new millennium. At an early age, Lancecape was introduced to Hip Hop by his cousin and has never looked back. As soon as he heard the now classic Hip Hop song "Paul Revere", by The Beastie Boys, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. Before he was able to afford sampling equipment, all that was available was his trusty old double cassette deck. “I would play the tape, record on a blank tape, pause it, rewind the tape, and finally un-pause the other tape when the loop came back around”.....Trust me it wasn’t easy,” states Lancecape. Then one day, high school friends of Lancecape, "IRS", introduced him to the Casio Fz-1 and the Atari 10-40 ST. This is the same sampling and midi equipment from the 1980’s that he continues to use to this day. Now, 13 years later, Lancecape is ready for the world after producing hits for some of Toronto's best known artists such as Grimace Love, Nish Raawks, Dan-e-o, IRS, Shamon Harage, Theology 3, and many more up and coming artists from the Toronto a Lancecape’s production talents eventually landed into the brains of Detroit's own Frank n Dank, who were well known affiliates of the now deceased super producer from Detroit, James “J Dilla” Yancey. With the U.S and European re-release of the Frank n Dank album, “Extended Play 3.13”, Lancecape has landed production on the lead single and video for the single titled "What Up". This first single from the recently released Frank n’ Dank album has now stamped Lancecape's name into the minds of some the biggest Hip Hop fans around the world. You can only imagine what is next in store for this talented individual.
